The G81-8308 is an alphanumeric keyboard with 104 or 105 keys plus 24 extra programmable keys. It's the ideal keyboard for flexible function key assignment. 130 bytes in each of the 10 layers of a function key enable storage of long command sequences or addresses, boilerplate text, plotter commands etc.

The keyboard is programmed in online mode. Each level is selected using the "layer" key and displayed on a 7-character LCD. Keys can also be programmed using Cherry's menu-driven configuration software. The G81-8308 is the ideal keyboard for entering frequently recurring command and input sequences. FTSC membrane contact system with linear key action provides superior reliability.
